leather recliners?
I am getting 2 expensive new mission style leather recliners. What is the best way to keep them supple, and clean? Also should I be concerned about my mini dachshund's claws?

- Furniture store should have a kit for leather cleaning. It has a cleaner and a leather conditioner . If not supplied, you can purchase a good leather conditioner at any retail store. I have 2 recliners that was purchased 10 years ago and still look brand new. I condition them once a month. If you don't trim your dachshunds claws, the claws may puncture the leather.
- I use a leather cleaner and protector by Guardsman. It keeps surface dirt from accumulating and leaves the leather moisturized and supple. I keep a throw over the arm of my wingback leather recliner to protect it from the pesky eskie claws because they will scratch the leather.
- The store you are buying your recliners from should furnish your first supply of leather care cleaning kit. After that you can buy more at a furniture store or probably even Wal-mart, ect. As for your dog, yes, leather is tough, but your dog could still put holes in it, if they are that sharp.
