How can i clean my microsuede recliner?

I have a microsuede recliner and it gets dirty alot, like today my son had a bananna that he smeared all over the arm of it. ick. I cleaned it with a sponge and some soap and warm water but it still feels all stiff in that spot and not all soft like the rest of the chair. How else could i clean it? Any home remedies you know of? I dont feel like buying a can of something or another also they are mostly for suede and if i buy a can i will be buying another very soon. I want to know easy home remedy ways to clean it so i can save money. Thanks everyone for your comments. The chair was a gift . and i dont want to buy anything. so dont tell me to buy something. Please, i am asking for HOME REMEDIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. i use baby wipes to clean most stuff like that they dont leave it as stiff and amazingly they clean alot more than baby bottoms
2. you probably should have made ease of cleaning a factor in your furniture buying criteria. it's never recommended to use regular soaps/detergents on upholstery or carpeting. soap "attracts" dirt. you might get a can of the foaming type carpet/upholstery cleaner. This should last awhile, unless you're using it every 5 minutes. Of course, first test the product in a small inconspicous spot to make sure it doesn't cause problems.
