how long does power recliners last before you get problems with them?

trying to decide between power and manual reclining action on a new sofa, the price differance is £300 is it worth it

1. hi pauline, well i have had mine now for four yrs;touch wood i have not had any problems so far long may it last.
2. Personally, I don't buy powered thingies if I can avoid it. It will eventually break, and it will be expensive to fix. I'd go with the manual model. It may break too, but it's not as likely.
3. The manual ones are sometimes difficult to close. We went for electric, with the insurance for 5 years.
