Reclining Seats

I have leather recliners that are dirty, what is the best way to clean them? Would soapy water work?

  1. ABSOLUTELY NOT !!! The ONLY thing that I could find to EFFECTIVELY clean leather, etc was a kit that you buy at furniture stores... It is a leather cleaner and this followed by a leather softener(a type of lanolin oil).. the two bottles comes in a kit. DO NOT use water or any household cleaning things.. they do not work and leaves stains on the leather.
  2. No soap! Just warm water, or even better get leather cleaner/conditioner to keep em looking and feeling like new.
  3. That should work. You can also get a cleaner and moisturizer for the leather at your local furniture store (assuming they sell leather material).
  4. I would buy a leather cleaner.
  5. Saddlesoap first. After it's dry, use neatsfoot oil.
