Reclining Seats

Are recliners sofa's just are strong as regular sofa's?

Hi their, I am thinking about buying a leather recliner sofa from Harvey's, its £999 for a 3 seater, so not a really cheap one but I was just wondering if they are just as strong as normal regular sofa's as I have never brought a recliner sofa before, obviously I know it depends on the sofa quality but was just wondering in general as the base's are different.

1. hi i think they are as strong but have a sit down on one first before you buy, my friend bought one and only realised when it arrived that it was quite narrow from front to back, this is because when in recline position the depth is just right for feet but when closed up it is narrow meaning you can't really lean back comfortably without being almost on the end. hope this makes sense,
