Reclining Seats

How can I fix a squeaky recliner?

I have a La-Z-Boy recliner that is several years old and it seems as if the wood frame under the upholstery squeaks right at ear level on both sides of the back of the chair. Otherwise the chair is perfect, but I need help getting rid of the annoying squeaking. Any ideas?

  1. This is usually caused by loose screws or bolts. Turn it upside down and ensure all the fasteners are tight. Also us a small amount of WD40 on the moving parts.
  2. WD-40 or some cooking spray like PAM it works well and doesn't leave a smell like WD-40
  3. Remember that all La-Z-Boy chairs carry a lifetime frame and underneath warranty......turn the chair over and tighten up any loose bolts or nuts....you will see some wires....spray the underside with WD-40,put down a tarp so your floor does not get greasy.....wait a couple of hours and spray again with WD40...it should work...if not take the chair backto La-Z-Boy for warranty work.
