Any ideas for what color sofa would look best with dark wood furniture and a red wall?

I currently have a beige sofa but that gets really dirty with a 2 year old. What colors would look best with this color scheme? No white, no beige. Thanks! Oh, the red wall is on the darker red side as opposed to bright red.

  1. grey
  2. Toape
  3. cream! you don't want anything flashy or dark. It would make the room look dull. good luck.
  4. Brown - like a chocolate color with red throw pillows.
  5. well, if you want more of a "flow," go with burgundy. if you want more of a "blend," go with a darker natural or brown. if you want a contrast, go with a color that plays off of the red, like a forest green or navy blue.
  6. When I first read your question I thought "white". Too bad that's not an option. Why not try a dark, dark brown or black leather couch? That solves the problem of your two year old getting it dirty.
  7. Black with red lines
  8. Might I suggest sofa covers instead? They are washable, much less expensive and you can change them according to season--for holidays, warm and cool colors, etc. For your particular color scheme I would go woth florals & stripes mixed and whites, greens, browns and golds mixed. A cover that has a darker background with a lighter shade of a similar color for the design would look nice and add texture too. 9. If you're looking for something dark, I would suggest a dark brown, or something that looks dark but has a pattern on it to hide stains!
  10. I reupholsterd mine in camo along with my recliner Couch= Max 4 Advantage wetlands recliner= Max 4 Real tree I have dark paneling for walls and I made camo sheers for the windows out of mosquito netting
  11. A nice dark chocolate color, it will keep the room calm and grounded!
  12. If your going for a country type look, try a plaid that has the darker shades of red, green, blue with cream lines. If the look is casual, try something in the neutral colors like camel, caramel in a suede fabric. And then there's the colonial look...red walls, deep blue couch with throw pillows in neutral. Also look at things that have to do with the ocean, lighthouses etc..you can find a lot of inspiration there. Try not to stress over it, enjoy the process and you'll know when the right combination of colors are for you.
  13. Black/Crimson
  14. Brown or black; leather/Imitation is nice if you can afford it. Grey can also be very nice, but it depends on what colors and style you have. You could even check out how colors go together on Jotuns or BHGs sites.
  15. Navy plaid.
