Where can you buy a replacement pull cord for a reclining couch seat?
I have a couch that has a pullcord down in between the cushions of the couch to pop out the foot rest. recently the cord broke and now i've been looking everywhere and can't seem to find a replacement one. does anyone know where to buy one ... or what exactly the correct name for it is?

- Contact the manufacturer of your sofa..............or where you bought it.
- Thats a " jerry rig " situation if I ever heard one. Put on a mini skirt and ask a good handyman to help. If they dont find you handsome they should at least find you handy !!
- I replace these for people. The first place I try is the retailer. If they can't or won't help, I go to the manufacturer. Sometimes they are warranted, sometimes not. The ones I have on order now are $10 each. The slang name for these are "parachute pulls" and the formal name varies, but is usually something like "latch cables" or "latch release". Once you find them, order a couple -- they are problematic. If all else fails, Leggett & Platt is the major OEM supplier, but you will need to know a little more about your mechanism, as they vary over time and they are not universal fit.
